  • PENS 2020 Call for Nominations
    The 2019 Nominating Committee is conducting its Call for Nominations to the 2020-21 Board of Directors/Nominating Committee slate.

    The positions that will be elected by the membership in 2020 are: one President-Elect, one Secretary, one Director and two Nominating Committee Members.

    Positions begin terms in April 2020.

    ​The Infant with Differences in Sexual Development (DSD): Ethical Issues

    The study of sexual differentiation has undergone dramatic changes. Advances in knowledge of genetics and hormonal regulation have expanded the understanding of Differences in Sexual Development.  More importantly, societal perspectives have markedly altered, (1) the perception of DSD (from a DISORDER to a DIFFERENCE), and, (2) the decision making power related to sex assignment, surgery etc. from the healthcare team to the parent/ patient.​
